Happy Labour Day

What to do on a public holiday eh??? Oh yeah there's the washing and the ironing and the cleaning.. shall i go on??? NO i don't think so.. There is also tidying the craft room OH YEAH.. were did I get all this gear from hmmmmmmmm.. LOL - dont we all get that way? I found the ideal room on a blog I visit.. have a peek here - I did say to DH this is the room I would love, his reaction.. we need to move, for you to have a room like this one..LOL

So I've found paper i didnt know I had, found some I'd been looking for and couldn't find.. and its ohhh so quiet - well it would be at 6am (OMG) what were you doing up so early you ask.. well the duties of a wife LOL not that - stop smiling, I was driving DH to the airport as he was catching a plane up north to start work!...
Soo off to make a couple of cards for a new set of twins at work (I'm even knitting them a cardi for the winter), do some more blog surfing, when the daughter arises - its out with the sewing machine.. we have some sewing to do..

Bizzy Becs blog candy winner...lol

I understand that stalking in the normal world gets you into so much trouble! LOL.. but out there in blog land .. you can see some wonderful creations, enter so many competitions and its not called stalking, but Blog Hopping..
I just love Becs creations and to win one - is fantastic.. I just wanted to say a thank you to lovely ladies who put so much time and effort into their creations and to the designers! WOW

Keeping my hands busy!

Don't you have one of those days where you look at something in the shop and think 'I could make that cheaper' lol...
I've been having a play with some cottons and hooks - which is a challenge for me, as I not a crocheter (is that even a word).. I do the usual knitting and sewing but Crocheting is new realm for me. So off to spotlight to get some cottons as i really wanted to have a go at some flowers - some research on the net.. and this is what i have come up with so far.. (be kind with your comments)


Anyways, do tell me what you think.. might even get to put one on a card or two :)

Finally.. a card I hope you all like?

As I said last night, I am missing my BFF as she has left Oz and headed to Paris. As I missed her birthday, I thought I would make her a card to send off with a care package so she doesn't miss us too much.
I hope you all like it.

Recipe:Aussie Tilda and some Bazzil for the green cardstock, various copic markers
Paper: My memories, Flowers: Smudge & Sparkle, Punch: Martha Stewarts (butterfly and green lace, Spellbinders scalloped circle and plain circles, ribbon: Crafty Capers, buttons - who knows..lol.

Where have I been?

I have been feeling a little lost these last few days/weeks.. My BFF has moved to PARIS.. yes to Paris, France.. its with work, but I am going to miss her dreadfully as she is/was the one that introduced me to card making and is to blame for my addiction at least that's what I tell my hubby.
Another friend is off to Albany - actually they moved last week and so I am feeling a little lonely! This usually happens when you have had a full on Christmas with all the family around and then a week or two later you are back to reality with a mighty boom! Back to real life. I have decided to literally throw myself into getting stuck into my huge stash of papers and attempt to create for the most wonderful challenges that are out there! so what this space. Ok, well in my spare time after work.. lol
I also want to try and create some cards with stamps and digi's that I have yet to use! So keep your eye's peeled.
For the last week I have been working on my BFF's birthday card - Typically I wasn't organised enough to have it with me when we had coffee last as I thought, well I can send it to her and send her an Aussie care package as well, you know the survival things you really need when you aren't in Kansas (aka Australia) any more - ie. Tim Tams, Vegemite, violet crumble's... ummm what else.. perhaps you can leave me a reminder as to what else to send to her. She and her wonderful husband will be away for two years (sigh) but this should be a good excuse for Me and DH to visit! What else would you need except a friend living in Paris with a spare room.. lol
Anyways - the card should be dry for a pic tomorrow.. I did go a bit crazy with the stickles.. ha ha
