Well, if you hadnt guessed - the reason the posts have been few and far between is
"We've moved!"
Three weeks before christmas we moved from sunny (apparently they are having a heat wave) Perth to the quiet country town of Moe in Eastern Victoria.
Do tell me why anyone would move three weeks before christmas really... (Did we have christmas.. musta missed that!) Things are settling down here in this quiet, peaceful town.. Although I think that Kookaburras at 5am in the morning are a bit rough.. but heck its been so long since I've heard them..
I must admit I am missing my crafty buddies a whole lot!
I only got to unpack and make sense of the amount of boxes we had when they were all stacked up in the garage (lucky for me - my hubbie thought to buy a shed big enough to fit them all in - Oh and he got a house with the shed.. ha ha ha). Well on Monday he finally headed back to his job after a month off and will continue to FIFO out of Melbourne to NW WA.. and I FINALLY got some sembelance of my craft room unpacked and in working order!
Watch out there will be a new challenge for Bizzy Bec in the next couple of days..
Now my bestest buddy
Debra has popped a post on her blog - a year of reflection, and so she has with her top ten cards with a little push from Kellie over at
Give a Girl a Blog. Please make sure you pop over there and have a peek at her cards!
So I thought I might have a bash..
This card won me my first challenge competition with Octopode..
I just love this stamp and was trying so hard to make her folds in the dress look good
So this card was created for my daughter to give away - but i made the crocheted flower and the background behind the baby was using alcohol inks (from class)
Now this La La land image and backgrounds won the local craft store challenge
I just loved making this card above.. and it was me thinking about my daughter who was having a holiday in Thailand at the time..
Now this one below well, I just love MME papers and you might have noticed i like Magnolia stamps as well! and another distress colouring with some stickles!
Now as this is my Mother's day card to my MUM and she loved it.. it has to be one of my favourites!
and even the simplest cards can make an impact!
Some days simple is the best!
A collaboration of effort brought this one to life. xxxx
Well that's my reflection on 2012... I hope this year is a better one - although I have left my crafty buddies in the west, I know we are life long friends and appreciate their humour, wit and their special friendship - which I hold near to my heart!
Take care and may 2013 give you Peace, Prosperity and Good Health to you all
